Hand print shrinky dinks

This was a fun project with a beautuful outcome.  I had a lot of disasters before I got them to not curl up and stick to each other.  One trick was not to cut out the fingers all the way.  But most importantly, have two pairs of pliers ready to unstick them, then put the back in the oven to flatten out.  Once they are flat-ish, sandwich them between two pieces of parchment paper, with a heavy book on top until they harden flat.

Valentine's hoopla

Just some of the of the Valentine's that were made today by different children in our class.  There were a lot more, but these were the few that I was able to snap a picture of before the craziness of Valentine's Day ensued!   They are very cute and creative.  And I am SO SO SOOOO thankful for the three parent volunteers that took time off their day to coral and organize the children and all the Valentine's, and get them into their designated boxes.  Whew!

(I usually don't post photos of children, but these are really too small to differentiate features.)

And not to be out done here are mine!

I heart Valentine's Day!
